Saadgi
In Saadgi the shell is rendered in geometric orchestrations of MDF painted in neutral shades, with small hammer-finished MS inserts on the walls as well as the floor. While the color throughout is constant, the monotony was alleviated by the quiet textures of the MDF cladding.
While Indian wear showroom Saadgi was dressed in muted shades to let the garments be in the limelight, this endeavor was furthered by outlining the display points in white back-painted glass — so that the focus on the bright merchandise was further intensified with this chromatic juxtaposition. The same idea was behind the tables — also created in white back-painted glass. This way, the clothes could be seen in the right way… helpful for the customers to make their decision.
With the walls and floor letting fashion wear take precedence at the Saadgi showroom, the ceiling became the recipient of an eye-catching design scheme, concocted out of POP, MDF battens, and a circular form with dovetailed geometric forms. The ceiling treatment was painted in two tones, the darker one defining the periphery and demarcating the showroom proper. The scheme also allows the inclusion of spotlights used for ambient and focus lighting.
The floor plate of the Saadgi was left uncluttered to create a clean look. The structural column that stood within this volume was clad in mirror strips so that snippets of the colorful surroundings would be reflected in a tantalizing manner.
