Brief About The Project
A farmhouse/vacation home near Aurangabad for which we developed the architectural planning. The program of the 4-bed leisure space had a sequential approach, with the entry/public zone at the front, followed by a double-height swimming pool area and ending with the private spaces.
The relationship to the outdoors and the integration of exteriors into the enclosed space were key areas of deliberation. While all rooms were given direct access to the outdoors, creating punctures in the envelope — such as the L-shaped slit of the pool volume and the triangular cut-outs on the front facade ensured visual connections with the sky and invited natural light indoors.
The swimming pool was made to be an important element of the spatial experience. Its central placement would make it a compelling part of the ambiance — and the shimmering, reflective expanse would animate all the rooms.
